The Luminox SEA series is the brand's range of dive and water sports watches. It's built around the Navy SEAL, the watch that made Luminox's name, and today covers everything from lightweight everyday divers to Swiss automatics. Most models feature a one-way rotating bezel for timing a dive, a screw-down crown to keep water out, and water resistance of 100 or 200 metres.

Why tritium matters underwater

Light fades fast as you descend, and it's gone completely on a night dive. Most dive watches rely on luminous paint, which has to be charged by light first and dims within hours. Every Luminox SEA watch uses tiny gas-filled tritium tubes instead. They glow on their own, constantly, for up to 25 years. You can read your elapsed dive time at depth, in murky water or at night, without shining a torch on your wrist.

Choosing your SEA watch

Navy SEAL. The original Luminox dive watch and its best known. Light CARBONOX™ cases from 43mm, 200m water resistance, and chronograph options with a built-in stopwatch.

Pacific Diver. Stainless steel dive watches with a sapphire crystal and 200m water resistance, in 39mm, 42mm and 44mm sizes. Choose from quartz, chronograph and automatic models. A good pick if you want a diver that also works with a shirt.

Leatherback SEA Turtle. The lightest and most affordable way into the SEA range, with 39mm and 44mm CARBONOX™ cases and 100m water resistance. Ideal for swimming, snorkelling and everyday wear.

Master Carbon SEAL Automatic. A 45mm CARBONOX™+ case with a Swiss automatic movement, sapphire crystal and 200m water resistance, built for military divers.

Automatic Sport Timer. A 42mm stainless steel automatic on a steel bracelet, with a ceramic bezel ring and 200m water resistance.

CARBONOX™ or steel?

CARBONOX™ is Luminox's carbon-based case material. It is extremely light and strong, so you'll barely notice it on a long dive. Stainless steel is heavier, more polished and feels more substantial. If you'll mostly wear your watch in the water, go light. If it needs to move between the beach and the office, steel is the more versatile choice.
