These are the Luminox watches Australians buy most, which makes this collection a good place to start if you're choosing your first one. Every model here is Swiss made, built to take real use, and lit by tritium tubes that glow on their own, all night, for up to 25 years.

Why tritium makes a Luminox

Most watches use luminous paint that has to be charged by light and fades within hours. Luminox fits tiny gas-filled tritium tubes to the hands and markers instead. They need no light, no battery and no button, so the dial is readable the moment you look at it, whether you're in a dark tent, a cinema or 100 metres underwater. It's the one feature every model in this collection shares, and why Luminox is worn by military and rescue teams around the world.

Choosing between our best sellers

Leatherback SEA Turtle. The lightest way into Luminox. A CARBONOX™ case weighing around 40–45g, 100m water resistance, and a choice of 39mm or 44mm Giant sizes. An easy everyday watch that suits smaller and larger wrists alike.

Original Navy SEAL. The watch Luminox is best known for. A 43mm CARBONOX™ case with a dive bezel and 200m water resistance. Choose it if you want the classic Luminox look and proper dive capability.

Navy SEAL Chronograph. The same toughness in a bigger 45mm case, with a stopwatch function for timing anything from a dive to a training session.

Atacama Field. Built for land rather than sea. A 43mm case with a sapphire crystal and a 12/24-hour dial, inspired by the desert terrain it's named for.

Master Carbon SEAL Automatic. The step up. A self-winding Swiss automatic movement in a 45mm CARBONOX™+ case, with a sapphire crystal and day-date display. Browse more in our automatic watches collection.

Still not sure?

If you swim or dive, start with the Navy SEAL range for its 200m rating. If you want something light for every day, the Leatherback SEA Turtle is hard to beat. If you'd rather a watch that winds itself, go automatic. Whichever you choose, it will glow just as brightly.
